作为全球最繁忙的集装箱码头，2018年，盐田港区完成了1316万标箱，同比增长3.6%，创历史新高

其中，盐田港区岸电技术一直走在行业前列，是国家交通运输部岸电示范项目盐田港区现共有六套供电系统，覆盖16个泊位，覆盖率达80%，是我国沿海港口具备岸电供电能力最大、泊位数量最多的集装箱码头，可满足全球最大型集装箱船舶的用电需求
